Pesticide Safety Screening

Ingesting pesticides can be harmful to anyone, but they can have serious detrimental consequences for those who are ill or who have compromised immune systems. It is typical that residual trace amounts of pesticides and other ingested chemicals are detoxified by the liver and excreted. Because of this, any amount of contamination for patients might prove to be deleterious. We believe in educating patients and ensuring them that the medicine they are ingesting is not going to further compromise their health and well-being.

At Green Leaf Lab, we believe that it is the responsibility of medical marijuana providers to ensure that patients are being provided medicine that has been screened for pesticide safety.

Green Leaf Lab currently offers reliable residual pesticide screening utilizing the standard testing practice in this business, chromatographic analysis.  We currently screen for the EPA 525 series of  semi-volatile pesticides utilizing commercially available chemical standards for calibration.  Our pesticide screen detects the presence of many classes of pesticides that have been used in cannabis cultivation, such as: pyrethroids, carbamates, organophosphates, organochlorines, and other insecticides, herbicides and fungicides. Our current pesticide free certification is based on the EPA 525 series of semi-volatile pesticides.
